We did Secret Santa at work. There was a $25 limit. I got my boss' name. He got some cool books that he had asked for. There was a LIST we all had to make. A VERY SPECIFIC LIST OF THINGS WE WANTED. He asked for books, got books. Someone asked for doggie toys for her doggies, and lo and behold!! She got dog toys! Most people got what they wanted.
On my list there were 2 DVDs, bead stuff, and something else I can't remember (must've been important) Anyway. What did I get? $25....cold hard cash.
Now I know it's LAME to complain, but people, if you're not going to put forth the effort, just say you don't want to participate!!
Any other lame (R) gifts then cash out there? |

Rush in Vegas was AWESOME!!! This is the reason people follow bands, so they can
catch that 'it' show. Rush always gives their all, obviously, but
the performance in Las Vegas was Magical.
Lots of candid moments, a SMILE from Neil!! WOW! A 'Now, that's what
I'M talkin' about from Geddy when the beautiful girl came out to
baste the chickens. The crowd was wonderful too, no jack asses in the bunch! |

Well, I have a new sister!! YAY!! No, my parents didn't have another child, but my brother did get married! :) It was a beautiful wedding aboard a yact, sailing down the Ohio River. I almost started crying when I saw the bride, she looked like a princess (dare I say more then I did? maybe... :) )! But I was able to hold it back, the ceremony hadn't even started, afterall. It was a GORGEOUS day! |

So, yesterday I came out to my car to go home from work, and there was a dink on my car! "Oh my poor baby!!!" I yelped as I ran to it to see just how bad the damage was. It's the size of a marble, but not as deep, and VERY noticeable. I cursed the MF'n person who did this horrible thing to my baby as I was driving home. I called them every name in the book, and wished horrible things upon their children. HOW DARE THEY WOUND MY BABY!!!!!!!
When I got home, I ran to show the hub, yelling at him (in a venting way) telling him what pain and anguish I felt. We went out to see the horrible, irreparable damage, and he said, "Oh yeah, that's been there awhile."
Um, nevermind. |

Today was really fun, I beaded and caught up on my e-mail/computer sh...stuff.
I got out of bed Because I wanted to.
I feel Sad, because I haven't updated my LJ in so long, and now I'm using an AUTOMATIC updater! GAH!!
I'm so Stoked, The B got a new car, which means I got a new car. Him: 2006 Tiberon, Me 2005 Altima. Life is GOOD!
Last night I had to Go to a Scorpions concert and the joint. ROCK ON!!!!!
I want to tell the world That on Friday, I had to stay at work until 10:30 PM to close out the month, but...
I am Just so incredibly happy at my new job, that I wonder when the other shoe's going to fall.

An Oozing Day To Listen
Shana stepped colorfully out into the wooly sunshine, and admired Ben's tongue. "Ah," she sighed, "That's a sticky sight."
Ben climbed off the box and walked joyously across the grass to greet his lover. Shana patted Ben on the toe and then tried to listen him meekly, but without success.
"That's all right," Ben said. "We can try again later."
"I'm just not black," Shana. "Not as black as the time we listened under a table."
Ben nodded lovingly. "We were papery back in those days."
"Our ears were younger, and we had a lot more fun with them," Shana said. "Everything seems bloody and glowing when you're young."
"Of course," Ben said. "But now we're noxious, we can still have fun. If we go about it violently."
"Violently?" Shana said . "But how?"
"With this," Ben said and held out a furry cheese. "Just take that with some water and in half an hour, you'll be ready to listen."
Shana swallowed the cheese at once and sure enough, in half an hour, they were able to listen violently. They listened like a beaded necklace, spreading beauty and color whereever it goes. Three times.
And then the neighbour told them to get off his lawn. |

The hub and I had the opportunity to see a sneak preview of the new Cirque Du Soleil show 'Love' Based on the Beatles. It was good, ran a bit too long, but the performers were phenomenal!
The one huge problem I had was with the song interpretation of 'Blackbird'. I don't think Lennon and McCartney had in mind an actual rectal exam. I hope the directors decide to change that before the show 'goes public'. |
